A Truly Special Village Hall

Our much treasured Village Hall is situated on the village green, at the heart of our beautiful Cotswold Village.

Bought by Miss Gertrude Emily George and donated to the village in 1934 this ex World War 1 Nissen Hut was originally a Men Only Club know as the  Reading Room. It shut in 1950 and was reopened in 1955 when it was officially renamed Cherington Village Hall.

Since then it has been used regularly by the whole community, both for village get togethers and social occasions, as well as being available for private hire by people who live both in the village or outside and are looking for a space to organise either parties or any kind of function.

In the past it has been a popular venue for birthday parties, quizzes, bridge evenings, poetry classes, book launches, pilates classes.... and conitinues to be a great option for anyone looking for a space outside their home.
